With the summer here, the rising temperature and humidity have caused an increase in the number of flies, mosquitoes and gnats. Flies are not only a nuisance to our livestock but my result in pinkeye and foot rot problems.
WRVC recommends that you utilize some type of insecticide during this warm season, and offers many products to help your herd health programs. We carry many pour on, sprays, fly tags and new this year is the Vet Gun that shoots small balls filled with insecticide. These products can allow you to treat your animals multiple times throughout the summer. They are still very effective without running them through a chute.
